I saw this plaque today, and I immediately thought of YW lesson on Sunday (Lesson 41, Manual 2) on Optimism.  We discussed how it physically effects you to be with depressing people - they are like emotional vampires that drain your energy.  Here, this quote from Voltaire, reminds us that HAPPINESS {or Positivity, or Optimism} is actually beneficial for our health.

How do you feel when you're happy? How do you make others feel?

“Seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith” (D&C 88:118).

Make sure you increase both your

Lesson 41: Optimism Lesson - Harold B. Lee Quote

Hi Girls,
This is the quote that I often turn to when I'm feeling down.  Bad things are going to happen to us - that's a given. But we CHOOSE our REACTION.  We can dwell and drown in the "sea of bitterness", or we can choose to find the silver lining.
Love Maggie

"Happiness does not depend on what happens outside of you, but what happens inside of you."

Ezra Taft Benson on Education

"Let us never lose sight of the fact that education is a preparation for life -- and that preparing for life is far more than knowing how to make a living or how to land on the moon.

Preparing for life means building personal integrity, developing a sound sense of values, increasing the capacity and willingness to serve.

Education must have its roots in moral principles. If we lose sight of that fact in our attempt to match our educational system against that of the materialists, we shall have lost far more than we could possibly gain."

(Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, p. 297)

November = Knowledge!
